The Group research new emergent forms of teaching and learning in digital environments. There are two lines of research:
- Study and analysis of virtual learning (in its widest sense), not just as a modality of teaching and learning online, but as an emergent research field in the phenomenon of e-learning, and also any other kind of teaching/learning mediated by computers.
- The analysis and conceptualisation of digital alphabetization, also considered as an emergent field, in other words, reading and writing practices mediated by digital tools. These practices do not just concern oral language, but also other systems of representation and codification present in digital technologies (multimodality and multimediality).
These two lines define the scientific objective of the group. On the one hand, the theoretical, methodological and applied developments in e-learning and, also, the theoretical and applied analysis of digital alphabetization.
